Dr. Jeen Liu
Vice President of Biostatistics and Innovation, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
Biography
Dr. Jeen Liu is the Vice President of Biostatistics and Innovation at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, a leader in biotechnology innovation. He oversees the Regeneron Science Talent Search (formerly Westinghouse Science Talent Search). Dr. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from UC Berkeley and his B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China.
With extensive drug-development experience, he has held senior roles at Novartis, Astellas, Eisai, and Allergan (AbbVie) before joining Regeneron. He’s led data teams through all clinical-trial phases, driving submissions and approvals of drugs like Xolair (allergic asthma), Prograf (organ transplant), Micafungin (fungal infections), and Bimatoprost SR (open-angle glaucoma).
A staunch advocate for data-driven decision-making and statistical innovation, Dr. Liu believes statistics and data science can unlock new value in medicine discovery and the broader healthcare system.

Dr. Bhramar Mukherjee
Senior Associate Dean and Anna M.R. Lauder Professor, Yale University
Biography
Dr. Bhramar Mukherjee is an Indian-American biostatistician and data scientist. Effective August 1, 2024, she became the inaugural Senior Associate Dean of Public Health Data Science and Data Equity at Yale School of Public Health, and Anna M.R. Lauder Professor of Biostatistics with a concurrent appointment in Epidemiology (Chronic Disease) and in Statistics & Data Science. She also holds a Senior Honorary Visiting Fellowship at the MRC Biostatistics Unit and is an overseas fellow at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
Prior to Yale, Dr. Mukherjee was on faculty at the University of Michigan (2008–2024), where she served as John D. Kalbfleisch Distinguished University Professor of Biostatistics, Siobán D. Harlow Collegiate Professor of Public Health, and Chair of Biostatistics. She also held roles as Professor of Epidemiology & Global Public Health and Associate Director for Quantitative Data Sciences and Cancer Control at the Rogel Cancer Center.
Her research develops and applies statistical methods in epidemiology, environmental health, and disease risk assessment. She has authored over 390 peer-reviewed articles and led numerous federally funded projects emphasizing the integration of diverse data sources. Dr. Mukherjee is a fellow of ASA and AAAS, an elected member of ISI, served as COPSS Chair (2019–2021), and was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2022.

Dr. Mike West
Arts & Sciences Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Duke University
Biography
Dr. Mike West is the Arts & Sciences Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Statistics & Decision Sciences at Duke University, where he led the development of the statistics program from 1990–2002. A past president of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA), he has founded multiple professional organizations and served on national and international boards.
His Bayesian research spans dynamic models in time series, foundations of inference and decision analysis, multivariate and latent structure analysis, stochastic computation, and optimization. Applications include commercial forecasting, dynamic networks, finance, econometrics, signal processing, climatology, systems biology, genomics, and neuroscience. He is particularly interested in forecasting and decision analysis for economics, business, finance, and personal decision-making.
Dr. West has received numerous awards for research and service, including three Mitchell Prizes, the 2018 Akaike Memorial Award, the 2022 de Finetti Award, and the 2014 Zellner Medal. He consults for companies, banks, and government agencies, co-founded a biotech company, and mentors students—having supervised nearly 70 PhD students and postdocs who now hold academic, industrial, or government roles in advanced statistical research.
